Library
Collection
Thanks to Target, Kimbrough received a library make-over in November of 2011 complete with 2000 brand-new books for the library. The collection is designed to support the school's curriculum, and meet the varied needs and interests of a diverse population of students. Parents may also check out books in their children's names.Students visit the Library once a week on a fixed schedule. Students are introduced to a variety of books and genres during their library visits. They are taught how to locate books in a library, and how to look up information in reference sources.
At the beginning of each school year, each student is given a library application which requires the signature of a parent or guardian. Once the application is signed and returned, students may begin checking out books from the library. Parents are financially responsible for books that are not returned to the Library.
Parents or family members, you are welcome to visit our library and check out a book too! We even have a selection of books just for parents! The selection of books includes topics such as assisting your child with homework, divorce, blending families, discipline, ADHD, family fun without the TV, and more. Please stop by sometime and check out our selection.
